ALICE MORELAND

ABOUT ME

Alice Moreland is an active parishioner of Our Lady of the Wayside Church. She is a member of the Parish Committee and belongs to the Works of Mercy Guild. For a number of years, she taught as an instructor of Religion in the CCD program for her parish.

Alice serves on a few boards. One such board is for Camp Maria Retreat Center, which is a Ministry of the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, Kentucky. She is the Vice-Chair of this Board of Directors and is a Co-Chair of the Advancement Committee. Camp Maria and its Board of Directors work closely with the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth, Kentucky, which is the same Order that taught at Mother Catherine Spalding School for most of the school’s existence.

Alice is the product of sixteen years of Catholic education. She attended St. Mary’s Elementary School in Bryantown, and received her high school diploma from Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School in Washington, DC. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts, and holds a minor degree in Secondary Education from Notre Dame of Maryland University in Baltimore.

Alice and her husband, Robert, have six children. Each of their children attended Mother Catherine Spalding School and St. Mary’s Ryken High School. They believe Catholic education has been the best investment for their children’s future, both academically and spiritually.
