ABOUT ME

Ms. Bowles is a firm believer in setting high expectations for her students so that they can reach their full potential. She also recognizes her crucial role in helping each one of them to get there through differentiated instruction, additional support, and letting them know she believes in them.

Ms. Bowles has taught 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 8th grade math during her educational career. She is very excited to be a part of the collaborative program in grades 3-5, including the opportunity to teach math to all of these students.

Ms. Bowles earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education at the University of Maryland, College Park. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Reading Education from Towson University. Ms. Bowles is certified by the state of Maryland in Elementary Education, Grades 1-6 and Middle School, as a Reading Specialist, and recently completed a post-masters program through Notre Dame of Maryland University to earn certification in school administration.

Ms. Bowles enjoys playing and coaching sports, especially volleyball and basketball. She has two young children of her own who attend MCA. She is an alumnus of Mother Catherine Spalding School and feels very blessed to have the opportunity to give back to the school community where she gained not only a solid academic foundation, but more importantly, a strong sense of Catholic identity.
