I believe that a nurturing, caring and supportive environment creates the best foundation for learning. A classroom should be a “home away from home”, a place student’s look forward to entering. Students learn best when their teacher is approachable and genuinely interested in them. I strive to foster positive attitudes between teacher and student and between students and their peers.
I am a 2004 Chopticon graduate, 2007 CSM graduate with an A.A.S. in Early Childhood Development and 2014 graduate of Western Governors University with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education.
I taught middle school Social Studies and Science at MCSS during the 2014-2015 school year. I completed my student teaching at Hollywood, Piney Point and MCSS Elementary Schools. I also have ten years of educational experience at Superstar Learning Center where I worked with children ages 6 weeks to 12 years of age.
I am a mother of two boys aged 6 and 2. I enjoy watching them play sports and helping my husband coach T-Ball. I also enjoy scrapbooking, gardening, reading, studying history and being outdoors.
