Mrs. Sharr’s language arts classes in grades 3-5 spent Wednesday of Holy Week creating stained glass silhouette crucifixes. We love the symbolism of the darkness of the silhouette and the beautiful colors as Christ battles the evilness of the devil on Good Friday. On this day Satan thought he had won the battle. The darkness looked stronger than the light. But by his Death, this was the turning point for all of mankind. The darkness that you see was conquered by the victory of the Light. The beautiful colors of the light shining through is a ray of hope and joy for every new day.
“Christ be our Light! Shine in our Hearts, Shine through the darkness!”
